New CEO for the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce

The Fremantle Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Nolin as Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber.

Peter’s appointment follows the retirement of long serving CEO John Longley. John orchestrated the successful Fremantle First campaign, which steadily increased Fremantle’s national and international profile over the past several years.

Peter comments, “I am honoured by the opportunity to represent the Chamber and the business community of Fremantle at such a dynamic time. John has done such a fantastic job bringing an international spotlight to Fremantle and helping to build a business culture that fits in with Fremantle’s unique urban port character”.

Peter joins the Chamber after his retirement as Managing Director of Gage Roads Brewing Co.. Peter was a founding partner of Gage Roads and managed the company from start-up through its listing on the ASX.

Peter brings a wealth of experience across many business disciplines as well as a working knowledge of state and local government. He has been active in the community for many years and is well known in business circles.

He brings a passion for Fremantle to his position as CEO along with a practical understanding of the unique qualities of the Fremantle community.

Peter states, “ I have watched Fremantle evolve while retaining and developing its unique character. My goal is for the Chamber to continue to contribute to that growth by providing a strong voice for the Fremantle business community concerning the promotion and direction of the city”.

Peter has a degree in Political Science and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the University of Western Australia.

Prior to establishing Gage Roads, Peter was the Head Brewer at the Sail & Anchor Pub Brewery in Fremantle and has lived in the Fremantle area for the last 13 years.
