Harbour Theatre presents for the first time in Fremantle "Errol Flynn's Great Big Adventure Book for Boys"
Written by Rob George, the prolific writer, actor, director and producer for film, television and theatre this play won the Best Play award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A musical comic book look at the comic book life of Australian film legend Errol Flynn from childhood in Hobart through white slave trader in New Guinea and finally to tragic Hollywood has-been. From the Festival Times (Edinburgh): "Taken almost entirely from official records and Flynn's own writing, the play explores the love/hate relationship Flynn had with his own screen image, and the way that he was both encouraged and condemned in it." "Fascinating . . . moves at a rip-roaring pace . . . if you know nothing about Flynn, or want to know more, then this show is a must."

FREDERICK BUTAFA - PAINTER OF THE RED WAVE COLLECTIVE
Solo exhibition by Solomon Islander, Fred Butafa. Prominent Painter of the Red Wave Collective, Centre for Oceania Arts and Cultures at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji.
Contemporary Oil paintings, a mix of cultural content and almost picasso reminisent artworks makes this a very interesting viewing. Showing until 12 June 2008

Flowers for Freo
An exhibition of recent works by Jeremy Holton titled 'flowers for freo' will be opened by John Longley, CEO of the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce, on Friday the 30th May 2008. The exhibition will open at 6:30 with wine from Watershed Winery in Margaret River and food from L2 Eat Cafe. A film crew from CTV Perth will be there to film the event for the show Gallery Watch.
Gallery Nine By Five is situated next door to L2 Cafe and opposite the train station at 6 Elder Place Fremantle.
