Join us on a walking tour of Fremantle, guided by Two Feet & a Heartbeat's award winning Ryan Zaknich, on a two hour exploration of Fremantle. “Freo”, once home to whaling stations and mass immigration, is a charming little city which is celebrated for its variety of restaurants and multicultural history. You will hear of astounding Irish prisoners escaping, comical British Bushrangers, its impact as a port during World War II and shameful expulsion of aboriginals to Rottnest Island.
Once the tour has concluded, we will end the afternoon with drinks & nibbles at Little Creatures from 4 - 5 pm.
Guest speaker: Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi
Central Perth has undergone a major transformation over the last decade, from a city centre with a reputation for being deserted outside of business hours to one that is a vibrant, liveable city, seven days a week.
In this special leaders luncheon, Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi will reflect on this period of dramatic change in Perth. Her talk will reflect on the key transformative changes Perth went through that formed the basis for this success. It will examine the respective roles of the business community, the state government and the City of Perth in bringing about change.
