An Icon Re-Imagined

Shacks Motor Group, a Fremantle icon, is revamping its operations in Fremantle and Rockingham to offer customers more options and convenience. The company's used car sales division is moving to the Rockingham Automotive Superhub, joining premium brands like GMSV, Mazda, and Volkswagen. This site will become a one stop shop for car buyers, providing a wider range of vehicles and brands under one roof.

Meanwhile, the Shacks Service Department will remain in Fremantle, relocating to the heritage-listed petrol station site on Queen Victoria Street. The same team of experienced technicians will continue to provide top notch maintenance and repairs.

The Fremantle site will soon be home to BYD, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, offering a range of eco-friendly cars. This move marks a significant step forward for Shacks Motor Group, embracing the shift towards sustainable motoring.

As part of the transformation, the iconic Holden sign on the Fremantle building will be coming down, and the community is invited to take a final photo with the sign and share their memories on social media.

With over 100 years of history, Shacks Motor Group remains committed to serving the local community while evolving with the times. The company is proud to stay rooted in Fremantle while embracing the future with innovative brands like BYD.
